TikTok is becoming the platform for food hacks, and a recent video showed people a solution to an ongoing problem—getting that damn spaghetti sauce out of your Tupperware.
How is it that when I put spaghetti + red sauce in Tupperware ONCE it's stained forever, but these folks make tomato paste probably every day and those wooden tables look like the tree was cut down yesterday??? https://t.co/rZ9KBOxsq8

Well, TikTok user @adikempler has come to our rescue and shown us the way, the truth and the light.
@facesbyadi This hack has saved so many of my Tupperware friends. Try it!!!! #fyp #cookingvideos #cookinghacks #lifehacks #hacks #stainremover #foryou #foryoupage
WHAT IS THIS SORCERY? How does this work? Well, we dug in to find out.
It turns out the missing cleaning piece is the paper towel. What that paper towel does is soak up the grease and oil that is stuck to the Tupperware. So, here’s how you do it:
1. Put dish soap into the Tupperware
2. Add warm water
3. Rip up paper towel bits and put them in the Tupperware
4. Close the lid
5. Shake it up for 45 seconds to one minute
6. Rinse
That’s pretty easy.
Turns out, many people aren’t familiar with this hack because the video racked up 3.7 million view, more than a half-million likes and nearly 4,000 comments.
People are now trying the hack on their own Tupperware.

TikTok users made duets to show themselves trying the hack alongside the original video.
@ocfoodandview #duet with @adikempler I tried it with spray dish soap and it worked! #kitchenhack #lifehack #pasta

People had varying success, but at the very least, the hack can still cut down at least a little oil.
So, think you’re gonna try it?
