Some Things Sound Like Good Ideas At The Time, But Really Aren’t (20 Tweets)

Back in the day, after a night out, I used to come home and order a massive amount of Chinese food, nachos, or pizza. Or sometimes I’d sway around the bodega waiting for the guy to make me a sandwich. It always seemed like a good idea to get all of this food—but the next morning I’d sadly look at the wasted pile of soggy chips or cold rice noodles and shake my head. It had not been a good idea.

Over on Twitter, folks are sharing what they thought sounded like a good idea at the time but actually was not. And the content is shockingly relatable. Like, I think I have done most of these: pressed snooze, paid too much for delivery, left the apartment, gotten bangs (I don’t regret the bangs, that was an actual good idea). One of the responses even went viral, starting an entire sub-thread about peoples’ regrettable experiences with ordering food, ranging from overpaying to being forced to interact with the delivery person.

Here are 20 of our favorite “What always sounds like a good idea at the time but rarely is?” tweets. Enjoy and feel seen.
