Medical Student Receives Academic Penalty For Wearing “The Most Inappropriate Dress They Had Ever Seen”

Pretty much everywhere has some kind of dress code. Familiar with that “no shirt, no shoes, no service,” sign? They’re not going to physically force you to follow it, but if you don’t they don’t have to serve you. You can actually walk around naked if you want as long as you’re okay with going to jail for a little bit. Dress codes are annoying and majorly sexist, but they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.

Someone posted on Twitter that their friend had been given an academic penalty for the outfit she wore during an OSCE exam. The student’s outfit was spread online as many people called for the end of sexist policies that oppress women in the medical field.

Here is the initial tweet:

The friend in the photo replied to the tweet once it went viral with an update.

The university responded to her viral tweet after it went viral because this is a PR nightmare.

The student replied to the university saying it was inaccurate.

Of course, the tweets got some absolute dogshit takes from men who were born in the 1800s.

No worries, she had plenty of supporters as well.
