A tweet about a patchy road in Britain has gained traction on Twitter after it was posted with the caption “Only in Britain would a road look like this.” It didn’t take long for people to turn the post into a competition for the worst road in the world.
The tweet is now nearly a competition for people to show off how bad their potholes are and has evolved into people sharing entire bridges that collapsed in their areas. The thread has also become a place for people to vent their frustrations about their local governments and ask why the roads aren’t getting fixed.
