Boyfriend Accidentally Saves Girlfriend’s Resume With Her Embarrassing Profile Name From “Friends”

Question: Would you hire someone with a bonkers CLEARLY made-up name? What if they had a pristine resume? Would you move on with the interview like nothing suspicious is happening or would you quickly say ‘Thank u, next?’

One woman found out what it’s like to apply for positions with a weird name She applied to several jobs with that name, in fact.

The world learned about this, um, “situation” via Reddit, where the woman’s boyfriend shared his mistake. A mistake that cost her multiple job opportunities.

On Reddit, he wrote

“One day while my girlfriend was at work she asked me to go on her computer which was open at home. All I had to do was re-save her resume in a new file titled “gf’s resume”. Simple right? Wrong…”

“Whilst saving said resume, her computer thought it would be funny to change the name header back to the profile user name.”

“PRINCESS BANANA HAMMOCK, which was then shortened to Princess Banana Hamm due to spacing. Neither of us noticed. Fast forward to today, she goes to update her resume to apply for a new job and there it was. The bane of her existence. We both immediately realized why she hasn’t been getting called back for any interviews.. Needles to say she’s not too impressed with me right now & I’m not allowed to do anything on her computer for her ever again. Happy holidays, at least next year she might get some calls back.”

The name itself comes from the TV show Friends. Best character (our opinion) Phoebe Buffay legally changes her name to Princess Consuela Banana Hammock in season 10. The woman only got two callbacks in three months, telling us the resume didn’t pass through many Friends fans.”

One Redditor pointed out how the error ended up revealing a lack of attention to detail.

It’s kind of a good point.

“Honestly, at a certain point it became her fault for not double checking her resume each time she submitted it.

This is called not having ‘an attention to detail.'” – calumet312
