Billie Eilish Responds To Fans Making Fun Of Her Signature Green Hair

Billie Eilish definitely has a signature image.

With her oversized clothing and neon green hair, Billie Eilish is easy to recognize.

But is it time to switch things up? Some of her fans think so—and the 19-year-old singer was having none of it.

On Instagram, Eilish posted a video of herself clapping back at people who said she’s had her green hair for far too long.

“F**k you guys. Stop making fun of me, oh my god!” Eilish joked in an Instagram story posted on Monday night. 

“I’m fucking making you an album! I will not put it out if you keep making fun of my hair. Shut up!”

Buzzfeed News reported that Eilish’s fans have been asking her to change her hair color for awhile now. In the past, Eilish has explained that her consistent hair color is actually a sign of her positive mental health and a sign of growth:

“This is the longest i’ve had the same hair color since i was 13 & that’s on mental stability and growth leave me alone,” she wrote in one comment on Instagram. In another comment she said, “it’s called not being depressed anymore pls just be happy for me.” 

Eilish said she was going to eventually change her hair: “I’m changing it after the doc comes out,” she said. 

“It’ll be the end of an era, I’ma give you a new era…I have announcements to make, I got some s**t to put out,” she said referring to her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary, The World’s A Little Blurry, which premieres on February 26. 

In the conclusion of her Instagram post, Eilish joked that she wished people would just leave her alone. “Let me live with my f**king hair that I’ve had for way too long,” she said.
