Chrissy Teigen is not one to sugarcoat. And even though she’s thrilled to be expecting baby number three with husband John Legend, she’s not thrilled about the pregnancy headaches she’s been getting.
Teigen recently revealed she’s getting Botox injections along with other therapies to help her get some semblance of peace.

“I get really really bad pregnancy headaches,” Teigen tweeted. “Was thrilled to be cleared to do neck muscle Botox along with a crazy combo of beta blocker shots and radio wave frequency something something doctor terms. Anyhow man it’s just so bad but I see the light finally.”
Botox, which is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, works by weakening or paralyzing specific muscles or blocking certain nerves. While Botox is popular for cosmetic reasons (smoothing lines and wrinkles), it can also be used to treat health issues such as excessive sweating, uncontrollable blinking, overactive bladder, neurological disorders, and migraine headaches.
Teigen also explained she used botox in the past for teeth grinding, which caused her to have regular headaches.
Jaw Botox for my grinding was a MUST for my regular headaches. You can also do behind the brow for migraines. Life changing.

One of Teigen’s followers warned her that “the crunchy granola moms are gonna come for you” because apparently if you admit to getting Botox for pregnancy headaches, you’re some kind of monster?
To which Teigen replied, “I absolutely do not care.”
Teigen has had to deal with people shaming her for other medical choices in the past.
After struggling with infertility, Teigen underwent IVF to get pregnant with daughter Luna and then son Miles. But after revealing that they chose a male embryo, folks criticized her preferring a specific gender at all to accusations that she and Legend “threw away” male embryos in their pursuit of having a girl.
“I think I made a mistake in thinking people understood the process better than they do,” Teigen shared on Twitter. “Hard to explain such a complicated process here.”
