Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler are two actors that anyone over the age of 30 came up watching in blockbuster after blockbuster. They’re both comedic actors, but they have very different styles.
Adam Sandler is sort of a drier delivery mixed in with man-child pranks.
Jim Carrey is a human cartoon with a deep commitment to slapstick.
They both managed to get mega-famous in the nineties, but I don’t really associate them in my own mind—they’re too different.
A Twitter user named @Titanbaddie, who calls themselves a pop culture influencer, is getting a lot of traction with this thread pitting various celebrities against one another, asking who makes better shows and movies. Most of the pairings are getting a lot of engagement, but unexpectedly, the Jim Carrey vs. Adam Sandler debate has popped off.

But I do choose Jim Carrey. I will say that Carrey could never have the chemistry with Drew Barrymore that Sandler does, but that’s really more about her than him.
