Kim Kardashian Deleted Her “I Voted” Instagram And Re-Uploaded A New One, Now People Are Calling Her Out

Can we wear the color red anymore? Or is it forever tainted by Donald Trump? That’s the question Kim Kardashian-West’s latest Instagram scandal poses.

Kardashian-West deleted her original Instagram post, which featured a picture of her wearing a red shirt and saying that she had voted in the 2020 US presidential election yesterday.

Kardashian-West shared the image on Instagram and Twitter to show she voted — but people were quick to analyze what her choice of clothing meant and whether it indicated that she had voted for Trump

In response, she removed the full-color photo and switched it on both social media platforms for a black-and-white version.

“I VOTED!!!! Did you?!?!” the caption reads. “If you are in line when the hours of operation close at the polls, they are required to stay open and allow you to vote, so do not get out of line!”

Kardashian-West, whose husband Kanye West ran for president this year, has previously indicated she was supportive of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Yesterday, she retweeted a post from Harris.

Folks on Twitter threw all their anxious energy at reading the implications in Kardashian-West’s photo, but sometimes a red shirt is just a red shirt.

Perhaps Kim, who is studying for her law degree, just wants to appear impartial. Regardless, don’t let Donald Trump ruin the color red, it’s a great color. Take it back!
