We thought the “Imagine” compilation was bad. We had no idea what was on the horizon: watching naked celebrities tell you to vote.
For those out of the loop, let’s go back in time. A time that seems at least a decade ago, but was only seven months prior. When the world had to quarantine and the celebrities all lost their minds. You’d think, what, with their luxury living, that they’d be able to handle quarantine just like us normals. Well, they didn’t. Days into quarantine and the celebs launched a black-and-white Instagram video of them all singing “Imagine” to the internet. Great!
Well, they’re at it again and it’s much worse than a cover song.
A bunch of celebrities got naked to try and inspire you to vote

They all filmed themselves naked and yelled at us to vote.
celebrities have truly lost their minds during this pandemic like what is getting naked going to do… https://t.co/e0FYCxhpyc

Welp, the celebrities are naked again.

And nobody understands how this tactic is effective. In fact, it may have had the opposite effect.
Celebrities getting naked have absolutely convinced me I shouldn’t vote.

I took one for the team and watched the naked vid celebrities put out to encourage voting. Save yourself, it’s like the Imagine vid, only naked.

It’s just… really bad.

This will do it!
Celebrities, half-naked, cajoling recalcitrant voters to do their civic duty as citizens of a free country.
Bravo, half-naked celebrities.
Thank you for your “service.” https://t.co/XT0HHatpON

The gaggle of celebrities, which includes Sarah Silverman, Chris Rock, Tiffany Haddish, Amy Schumer, Mark Ruffalo and more, strip down in their homes in the brief PSA aimed to educate voters on naked ballots.
In the video, they encourage viewers to carefully read instructions on their mail-in ballot and follow them exactly so their vote won’t get thrown away. They then highlight states like Pennsylvania, that require voters to stuff their ballots into two envelopes. If this doesn’t happen, it’s called a “naked ballot.” See? Naked? Funny!!

It is so incredibly insulting to young people to think that naked celebrities are a more effective voter outreach strategy than our desperate cries for racial justice, college tuition, or affordable housing.

Some people had their own theories as to why this happened to us.
Every celebrity getting naked is performing a ritual whereby they announce themselves and appear before God naked and clothed only in their sin. It is a message confirming they are baring themselves for all to witness and no longer hiding their deeds. This is a very good sign.

And then there’s Lorde, who hasn’t released an album since 2017 and really knows how to get us out to vote.

More albums, less naked bodies!
