Well, Well, Well, O.J. Simpson Thinks Carole Baskin Got Away With Murder

Tiger King has taken over the world because we are all in our homes and devoted to our Netflix accounts. The docu-series follows the antics of Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin, two big cat owners in Florida who have been at each other’s throats for years. One of the many layers of crazy to the story is the mysterious disappearance of Baskin’s billionaire husband, Don Lewis. At one point, Baskin mentions that tigers will only eat a person if they’re rubbed with sardine oil and a few other specifics that have people pretty convinced Lewis ended up as tiger food.

But there’s no conviction, much as there was no conviction of O.J. Simpson after the 1994 double murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman. Simpson was acquitted in a trial that had viewers glued to their TV screens for weeks and went free. But in a later case brought by the Goldman family, Simpson was found liable for the murders. He is still free and still interested in pop culture, apparently. Simpson took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the series in a video.

“I’ve had so many people on my case asking me to watch some show called Tiger King,” Simpson says in the clip. “Well yesterday I watched this show, and oh my God, is America in this bad a shape? I watched about six episodes of this show and I couldn’t even believe what I was looking at. White people! What’s with you and wild animals? Leave them animals alone!”

“This show is crazy,” Simpson continues. “But it’s so crazy you kinda keep watching. One thing I will say: There’s not a shred of my doubt in my mind that that lady’s husband is tiger sashimi right now. I’m just sayin’. Take care and I hope you find something better to watch. I’m just saying.”

It’s hard to say if Simpson is trolling everyone a little bit or if he actually forgot everything that happened before the year 2000. In 2006, Simpson did release a book called If I Did it: Confessions of the Killer, in which he outlines the “hypothetical” murders of Nicole and Ron. Even if he didn’t kill them…which is a big “if”…he certainly feels comfortable with insinuating he did.

People on Twitter are not letting the opportunity to discuss Simpson’s potential history of murder slide:

What I will say about all these people who get away with murder and go onto have media careers: they’re very bold.
