Protests are happening around the country in response to the murder of George Floyd by police officer Derek Chauvin. It’s a moment where many people are showing who they really are and if they support the Black Lives Matter movement. That includes celebrities. Some celebrities have donated money, some have shown up to walk with protestors, Cole Sprouse was arrested. Lea Michele is getting dragged to hell for her disingenuous posts.
Others are simply using their platform to say that they unequivocally believe Black lives matter. It shouldn’t be a controversial statement to say that the lives of Black men and women have value, and should be treated with the same respect, care, and offered the same amount of safety as everyone else. But a lot of racists are not on board, and the response “all lives matter” has become their battle cry.
Well, Seth Rogen isn’t putting up with that sh*t. He posted an image to Instagram to show support for BLM, telling people who don’t like it to unfollow him:

He backed that up on Twitter, writing, “Always be more critical of the people upholding the racist system than the ones who are fighting against it.”

if Seth Rogen can confront 8 million frat guys about race, you can confront your 4 “basically good” grandparents about race https://t.co/XTDMAaRRv7

Of course, there were lots of idiots running to the comments to criticize BLM and Rogen. After a while, everyone started noticing how Rogen was responding to the “all lives matter” crew: with the smackdown.

Rogen told people off in reply after reply, even telling them that they don’t get to watch his movies anymore:

At a time when very little is amusing, it did seem to give people a moment of enjoyment:

Every time a celebrity trends, I don’t even think “omg they died?!” anymore. My first thought is “did someone find racist tweets or are they being extremely NOT racist?”
Today’s Edition!
Seth Rogen: Extremely not racist!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Seth Rogen is an entertainer and he’s good at entertaining. He’s also using the fame and reach he has to actually promote a movement he supports. That’s solidarity.
