‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Sophie Turner Kills The Viral Bottle Cap Challenge—Literally

All hail the Queen in the North for nailing the Bottle Cap Challenge — in true Westerosi fashion, of course.

Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner is one of the latest celebrities to participate in the Internet craze, which, as its name suggests, involves delicately unscrewing a bottle cap with your foot while in the middle of a roundhouse kick.

If it sounds difficult, that’s because it is. PopSugar traced the challenge to Taekwondo instructor and fighter Farabi Davletchin, who published his original video back on June 25:

The Bottle Cap Challenge has attracted a wave of celeb participants since then, including John Mayer, Ellie Goulding, Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin and Kendall Jenner. Even pop diva Mariah Carey jumped onboard, putting her unique spin on the trend:

But just as her alter ego Sansa Stark outwitted some formidable opponents throughout Game of Thrones’ eight-season run, Turner seems to have dethroned the Grammy-winning artist with her own hilarious take on the challenge.

While on her honeymoon with new hubby Joe Jonas, Turner shot an Instagram video of her appearing to attempt the Bottle Cap Challenge from an airplane seat, Entertainment Weekly reported. But at the very last second, the Dark Phoenix star simply unscrews the bottle of wine and looks directly into the camera.

“Stop this,” she deadpans. “Now.”

And then, in a move the wine-loving Tyrion Lannister would certainly be proud of, the Lady of Winterfell takes a swig of what appears to be red wine. Here’s the video in all its glory:

Daenerys Targaryen may have been the Mother of Dragons, but Sansa Stark is clearly the Queen of the Bottle Cap Challenge. Check out these clips of other stars completing the challenge — although none in such glorious fashion as Turner.
