Every marriage is different. Nobody really knows what goes on between two people behind closed doors, no matter how much they believe they know.
Yet somehow, all marriages are also the same in a lot of ways. The players might be different, and the particular day-to-day problems, but the current that runs through the River of Marriage is a singular one.
After enough time has passed, the fireworks die down and “real life” kicks in. Love itself is expressed in different ways; rather than flowers and dinner dates and fancy gifts, love becomes packing your SO a lunch for work, or making dinner and doing the dishes because they’ve had a hard day, or plucking their gnarly ear hairs.
