It’s the 2020s and we have not solved the scourge of the unsolicited dick pic.
To be honest, I’m not hopeful for the future. The ocean levels will be rising up around our ears and bros will still swim through the water to flash some poor girl trying to clamber on board a plastic trash island. If anything, it’s getting easier and easier to send dick pics without permission on every new app and social media platform.
But the advent of technology does have a silver lining—no one knows what’s possible anymore, and creeps are often gullible.
Twitter user @KatyMontgomerie shared screenshots they “stole from Facebook” of how one woman dealt with getting an unsolicited dick pic, and it might be one of the more delightful responses to the phenomenon I’ve seen in a while.
The first screenshot shows a hint of the offending member and then the anonymous woman’s response, where she says, “Sorry I can’t see the pictures. What did you send me? A meme?”
“What was it?” she continues. “Usually I can’t see the picture if it’s nudity. I have a porn blocker on my phone and it sends the info immediately to my local police from the pictures data. I know it’s silly but you can never be too careful with creepy guys on the internet sending unsolicited dick pics.”
“Are you serious,” he asks. “Absolutely,” she replies. “What girl doesn’t have it? All of my friends do. Why? What did you send me?”
“I sent you that…” he says. “I’ve been drinking way too much.”
“Well I hate to say this but those pictures are probably being looked at over at my local Sexual Crimes Against Women unit. Which probably means they already have pictures of your face now too because of your profile..I would look into getting a lawyer if I were you.”
Then added, “Oof drinking way too much? Don’t know if that will make a good case.” Finally, she appeared to be blocked:
Hard to say if she got blocked because the dude believed her and panicked or because he realized he was getting messed with, but as long as these creeps go away that’s all that matters. People loved it on Twitter, and the original poster on Facebook was found, and she shared that the guy she is putting on blast has a history of doing these sorts of things to random women:
Hey this is me! I can’t believe it made it this far! I have more screenshots from different girls too! This guy is a certified creep!

No worries! A lot of people wanted a good laugh so it’s worth the share. I honestly thought it was just going to stay local so it’s just funny that it’s found it’s way here. Thanks for thinking it was cool!

Sigh. If only there were a local Sexual Crimes Against Women unit that would take this kind of harassment seriously.
