First Look Of Robert Pattinson’s Batman Is Already Causing Twitter Arguments

The world continues to demand more Batmans, even more Batmans than Spider-Mans. There’s so many. It seems like just yesterday that Ben Affleck was declared Batman and tussling with Henry Cavill. Now Henry Cavill is the Witcher and Ben Affleck is a guy with a giant phoenix tattoo on his back. Time sure passes.

In fact, only in June, Robert Pattinson was announced as the NEW new Batman, and I basically forgot until this week, when a glimpse of the man in the suit was revealed by director Matt Reeves on Twitter and Vimeo.

In my opinion, it’s a pretty good glimpse. The suit looks pretty impenetrable and Pattinson’s chin looks suitably chiseled. What more is there to ask for?

Lots of people seem pretty excited by this short clip that is largely in the dark:

But like so many things, having an opinion on the Batsuit is divisive now. Liking the suit means you don’t understand the high art of Ben Affleck’s suit:

It also seems to be too skinny for Affleck stans:

Lots of good points here. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter because we will have an entirely new Batman and suit before you know it.

To the people taking it extremely seriously online, Twitter user @LHGarrett had perhaps the best thread about why everyone should just relax:

It’s cool to like things. If the way you like things is mostly expressed by weird aggressive Twitter campaigns against people with different opinions, maybe it’s about something else.
