Moms have their own secret language, which they develop and share in Facebook groups. Now they’ve moved over to TikTok and things are getting more advanced.
TikToker @mommacusses started a new trend for moms after making a video in which she asks, “Tell me you have kids without telling me you have kids.”
She then showed how in her house, the breakables go on the top shelf. She pans from the ceiling to the floor, showing how much less stuff there is on the bottom shelves:
Another mom would probably understand that this is because a kid will get into stuff and smash it, so she has to protect her valuables from the little marauders. I’m learning so much, as a non-mom.
Lots of moms knew exactly what @mommacusses meant when she asked for them to show, not tell. Some of the TikTok duets with the original are full-blown short films, like in this one where TikTok user @shishkaboobs showed herself walking through her house with a relaxing glass of wine—and then stubs her toe on something left out by a child.
