People Are Sharing Embarrassing Pictures With Celebrities And There Are A Lot Of Them (35 Pics)

Once, long ago, you could pay to hug a celebrity and have your picture taken. Will we be able to hug regular people for free again someday? Who knows! In the meantime, Twitter user @sethdanie1 started a thread to help us all get through it. He requested that people post a picture of themselves with a celebrity, offering “bonus points” if it was NOT at a meet and greet and even more bonus points if the non-celeb looked like sh*t.

He offered his own cursed image of himself with a shy Kirstie Alley:

At least I think that’s Kirstie Alley? The responses are almost all photos from ten years ago and yes, everyone does mostly look horrible so there are lots of points to go around. Some celebs are recognizable and some are deep cuts. They’re all pretty hilarious. Why do we want to meet celebrities? Why are they so willing to indulge us, taking selfie after selfie? Hero worship at this moment in time seems both absolutely ridiculous and life-sustaining. We will survive to take pictures with Harry Styles and Taylor Swift again.
