The holiday season has so many tasty treats associated with it, there aren’t even enough days in the month to eat them all. That’s why we try to cram so many into the days around Christmas. It is the yummiest time of year.
“But what about Thanksgiving?” you might ask. Yes, we eat a lot then, too, but if you think Thanksgiving has more types of food, you’re looking in the wrong place: check out dessert.
Job Hunting site Zippia has gotten really good at putting together Google analytics data to paint a picture of how people eat in America around these holidays, and they just released another map of how people are snacking on sweets state by state.
This map is based on what people Google most around the holidays. Zippia did one for Thanksgiving as well, but that was more about recipes. I doubt anyone in Washington state was Googling how to make Skittles. Actually, I can’t think of a reason why anyone would Google Skittles, but that’s their favorite Christmas treat.
Other big news is how many people are housing cheesecake for Jesus. Like nine states. On the other end of the spectrum, Missouri is searching for “vegan Christmas cookies.”
See if you agree or disagree with your state’s favorite treat or if you absolutely expect to sit down for a slice of fruitcake on December 25th:
