A TikToker found five abandoned bags of Wingstop orders on the side of the road, which he later concluded were left behind by low-tipped DoorDash drivers.
The poster of the video, (t1_asclepius), says he found the untouched bags of food as he was heading into his local gym. While he initially thought the food was from Buffalo Wild Wings, he clarified later in the comments section that the meals were actually from Wingstop.
He claims in the clip that the abandoned orders were ones that were placed through DoorDash and were never picked up by the driver or customer. There have been reports on social media of drivers not picking up orders due to low gratuities, but it’s unclear as to whether or not this was the case for the bags of food Austin showed off in his TikTok.

“So I just pulled up to my gym and I found out where Buffalo Wild Wings throws away it’s fucking DoorDash orders that doesn’t get picked up,” Austin says in his clip. The order sat outside on the curb in the dark.
Several users on the platform had different reactions when it came to the food. Some applauded the restaurant for not simply throwing the food away, as food waste is a very touchy topic in today’s society.
Austin responded that he hadn’t seen many homeless people in his area, but he did hope that someone who needed the meal would come across it.
According to Convenience.org, 2.6% of all orders without tips aren’t picked up by delivery drivers. This could be an important thing to keep in mind when deciding how much you’re going to tip. A lot of minimum-wage paying workers rely on gratuity to make a living, so it’s always good to throw in some extra pay.
