Jason Momoa—Aquaman, Ronon Dex, Khal Drogo, all-around awesome figure — just pulled a superhero move when he called out fellow actor, nice guy, and super buff dude Chris Pratt on Instagram, in front of the whole world.
What, you ask, could propel Momoa to attack Pratt like that? Aren’t they buds?
In Chris Pratt’s new post about “teaming up with @amazon to show you guys everything I use for my workouts, keeping active, and all that fun stuff to get you prepped for 2020” he’s super blasé, holding a SINGLE USE water bottle.

Momoa responded to his post, “Bro I love u but wtf on the water bottle,” Jason wrote. “No single use plastic. Come on.”
When it comes to environmental issues, Momoa is not messing around (he is Aquaman, you guys, protector of our great oceans). Now, you may be wondering why this is an issue. Pratt’s simply at the gym, and people do need to hydrate — but let’s get real here.
The Daily Dot reports that “the amount of plastic in the sea will outweigh the fish by 2050, that there is currently 15-51 trillion pieces of plastic in the world’s oceans,” according to the Center for Biological Diversity.
Single-use plastic bottles cause an issue because they are one of the most common objects found in the ocean. And they’re rarely recycled — even thought recycling them doesn’t entirely stop the issue either. In short, they are literally killing our planet.
Pratt — whose post was just a tad cringier because it was a sponsored content post promoting Amazon, of all businesses — apologized.
Pratt wrote in response, “Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug with me too. I even had it that day!!!” “Love you too buddy.” Then he went on to say, “My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.”
Pretty cute stuff.
This then prompted Momoa to apologize for shaming Pratt.

He wrote, ‘BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do. I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen. I’m just very passionate about this single-use plastic epidemic. the plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase. You’re an inspiration to many I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU.”
And, if you’re wondering, this was a product placement moment, too — Mananalu is Momoa’s canned water line. Bottom line: Stop using single-use plastic water bottles — and use everything as an opportunity to make money, apparently.
