There’s nothing wrong with wanting to dress provocatively on Halloween. However, it seems like every year there’s at least one “sexy” costume that doesn’t feel kosher. Last year, it was the “Sexy Handmaid” or “Brave Red Maiden” as it was officially called. The year before? Probably the “Sexy Eleven From Stranger Things” aka “Sexy Upside Honey”—because there’s nothing sexier than a telekinetic child who has experienced a lifetime of trauma. This year? Sexy Mister Rogers.

Referred to by costume manufacturer Yandy as the “Nicest Neighbor” costume, the references to Mr. Rogers are unmistakable.
There’s a red cardigan and grey hot pants paired with a collar and tie. Add lacy white ankle socks, platform patent leather pumps, and hand puppets (not included). Voila! You’re ready to channel Mr. Rogers.
“Won’t you be my neighbor?” the official description begins innocently before quickly crashing and burning into a mess of words that don’t belong together.
“Entice your friends next door with your playful puppets! Suit up with a necktie, and be the friendliest next-door neighbor in town in this exclusive Nicest Neighbor costume featuring a red top with a V-neckline, long fitted sleeves, a white detachable collar with a black necktie, and matching high waisted gray shorts with belt loops.”
