Welcome to 2019, where one couple has made history after making a porn video of themselves having sex in a self-driving car.
In the video, a man driving a Tesla picks up adult film star Taylor Jackson for what he calls a “Tinder date.” But around ~45 seconds into their date, the couple decides to start having sex in the Tesla. Though the driver keeps one hand on the wheel during the foreplay, Tesla’s semi-autonomous Autopilot driver-assist system is fully in control for most of the three minutes of full-on copulation.
The pair uploaded their video to Pornhub at the end of April, where it quickly topped charts and caused ‘Tesla’ to become the number one search on the site.
“Holy s—t, I made @Tesla the #1 search on Pornhub,” Jackson wrote on Twitter, tagging CEO and founder Elon Musk on the post.

The PornHub Instagram account posted a response in the form of a screenshot of the film alongside the caption: “Reporting you to Elon for not having two hands on the wheel with autopilot enabled.”

Tesla cautions on its Autopilot guide that the software is currently “not a self-driving system” and the feature “is intended for use with a fully attentive driver, who has their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any time.”
Musk joked about the incident in a series of tweets posted on Thursday. “Turns out there’s more ways to use Autopilot than we imagined,” he wrote, followed quickly by “Shoulda seen it coming …”

Jackson told Business Insider that she accidentally bumped the steering wheel during the event, knocking the Tesla out of Autopilot. “It was mainly a straight road, but it had a lot of traffic,” Jackson told the publication. “We had a lot of cars driving by us.”
According to The Next Web, Autopilot wrecks are rarer than wrecks caused by human drivers. Still, the software isn’t yet fully autonomous—Musk recently said Autopilot might be ready for passengers to go hands-free “very quickly,” maybe as soon as the end of 2019 (though it’s worth noting he has missed similar projections multiple times in the recent past.)
Jackson, for her part, says she feels as though the video could have been better.
“The feedback has been great so far, and the comments, for the most part, have been amusing,” said the adult actress. “Looking at it now, I feel we could’ve made it better. Maybe we will make another one.”
