Twitter has spoken: drugs won this election. 2020 has been rough. However, in case you hadn’t heard, Arizona, Montana, New Jersey, and South Dakota all voted to legalize recreational marijuana. Additionally, Oregon decriminalized all street drugs and approved the legalization of magic mushrooms. On the one hand, it’s an important progressive way to focus on treating drug abusers instead of punishing them. On the other hand, people voted to blaze it for fun. Not just as “medicine.” So, with the caveat that I understand the importance of legalization and decriminalization, it’s also still fun to find people celebrating the silver lining of this whole year. You can trip in front of a cop and he can’t do anything to you. Until you do something weird. Then they’ll probably arrest you.
