It’s still cold and flu season, and the coronavirus is freaking people out across our nation. Many of us would like to hunker down and hide away in our homes, mainlining vitamin C and binging Netflix. Unfortunately, work has not yet evolved completely past the necessity for offices. People still need to go into work and interact with other humans who are sneezing and coughing all over the place. Seems safer to just call out of work, doesn’t it?
That’s probably why the hashtag game #StrangeReasonsToCallOutSick is trending. People are sharing all of the weird, funny excuses you could give for needing the day off on Twitter, and while we don’t know if any of these reasons will fly with your boss, reading them will at least kill a few minutes on the clock. Pack the Purell and head into the office…unless having a cat in your lap really is enough of a reason to call in?!
