When one single dad, Jeff Saville, was planning to go on a date, he asked one of his four daughters what he should wear. It was a natural move: When you’re going on a date, ask a girl how to not look awful. Because let’s face it—some men need a lot of help!
So, Jeff actually texted his 19-year-old daughter, Carli, asking for some fashion insight. Hey, can you blame him? Dates are weird and sometimes nerve-wracking, so you want to be sure to put your best foot forward. It says something beautiful about him that he wasn’t afraid to reach out to his child to ask for help (and that he cared enough to look nice!).
When he texted Carli about his outfit options, he didn’t expect his texts to blow up…and become Internet famous. But they did.

In the text, shared by Carli to her Twitter, you can see her dad sporting two lewks: An untucked short-sleeve white shirt and a long-sleeved, blue button-down shirt tucked in with a belt.
It seemed like Carli liked the blue option (so do we).
Even cuter is her dad’s text response, “Hello” — probably a nudge to get her to respond. Adorable.
Sadly, Carli’s dad was stood up for his date. Can you EVEN IMAGINE?
Even though that totally sucks, the Internet fell in love with him (proving that there are, indeed, other fish in the sea). He even got offers to date other Twitter users’ hot mamas.
