Florence Pugh Defended Bella Thorne In Her Instagram Comments

There is always drama on the Internet, but sometimes it is surprising where it crops up. Sometimes Twitter has an unexpected main character, like Bean Dad. Sometimes a meme started on Reddit takes over our lives for years. Sometimes DMs get leaked.

But today, the drama is popping up in the comments of actress Florence Pugh’s Instagram post about ravioli. Who knew.

Like a lot of people, Pugh enjoys sharing posts about the food she’s making. In this case, it was a delicious post of cheesy, saucy ravioli, which she recorded herself plating in up-close detail. It looks absolutely freaking delicious:

In her caption, Pugh says it’s homemade and filled with poached lobster. Okay, Florence Pugh has a fall back career as a Michelin star chef! Good for her. Great cooks are always in demand, as the comments showed.

Person after person commented how mouth-watering it looked, including actress Bella Thorne, who wrote, “Omg please come over and make food,” with a few fire emojis for flavor.

Thorne has not been the most popular person on the Internet lately. She joined OnlyFans, traditionally a platform for sex workers to make and manage their own content and get paid directly by fans. Because of some shenanigans Thorne pulled, including promising a nude photo that wasn’t nude at all, major structural changes hit the site, affecting all the other members in a negative way.

It’s not clear if the people responding to Thorne’s comment were mad about that or if they just hate her in general, but Buzzfeed captured person after person telling Thorne “no” and to “go away.”

Well, Pugh would not stand for it. She waded into the mess and commented, “To all those negatively trashing Bella, I do not appreciate it or like seeing people being unnecessarily dragged on my page. My page has NEVER been about that and I don’t like seeing it. I always appreciate your love but not at the cost of bullying someone else. Enjoy the ravioli!”

Fans really appreciated Pugh stepping in to encourage positivity:

Pugh has spoken. If you want to hate on Bella Thorne, find someone else’s comments to do it in. Hers is a safe space, especially for pasta.
