Zoom is where we live, socialize, and work now. And, if you’re an internet troll, Zoom is also where you play.
When a student at Saddleback College sent comedian Cole Hersch a link to a Zoom forum to discuss giving the school a new mascot, Hersch decided to take advantage by pitching his own idea for a mascot: a deranged-sounding character named “T–tty-P–ssy.”
As Hersch went on to explain to the increasingly furrowed brows of the rest of the call participants, T–tty-P–ssy would be “a woke, sloppy goblin girl who rides around the campus on sweat-stained roller skates” and would take wokeness to the next level by demanding students come out as bi and bullying those who don’t, among other things.

Whether because he never broke character, was wearing a tie, or because the folks at Saddleback College are simply that polite, Hersch was never interrupted during his nonsensical pitch. The funniest moments are the puzzled, amused, or stone-faced reaction shots of other people on the Zoom call who have no idea what’s going on.
After Hersch finished pitching his idea for the unhinged mascot, the call moderator simply moves on to the next caller as if nothing had happened.
While the decision-makers at Saddleback College may not have thought much of Cole’s pitch the commentariat on Twitter was deeply impressed.
