Reddit’s relationship forums are somewhat notorious at this point for providing us with endless wonderful examples of how to be…terrible at relationships.
Every day on these subreddits we are greeted with new examples of terribly mismatched partners, unbelievable behavior, and an incredible lack of self-awareness. In fact a Twitter account called @Redditships has even sprung up to document the emotional mayhem on display.
It’s impossible to tell which outlandish relationship tales that get posted to Reddit are real, so take this with a grain of salt.
For those who are in a rush the gist of the post is this: The 25-year-old female poster begins positively, saying she feels that with her boyfriend of five years she’s “bagged a keeper.”
Then things quickly go off the rails.
The poster became suspicious after her boyfriend began staying late at work and “started becoming extremely secretive about his whereabouts.” So she did some sneaky sleuthing in his phone and found he not only had downloaded the gay hookup app Grindr, but had been texting multiple men.
It’s an old story right? Not so fast.
The poster claims that, instead of being upset, she was intrigued by one particularly attractive bisexual man her partner had been texting and sleeping with and struck up a conversation with him.
She then claims she STARTED SLEEPING WITH THE MAN without her boyfriend knowing and that they are now both cheating on each other with the same person…who has no idea they’re together.
Frankly this whole thing sounds dubious as hell but the internet had some helpful tricks and tips for these tangled up lovers anyway.
Hahahaha if it’s real, just casually waltz into the room one day & be like “so ok you know how you’ve been fucking <that guy>? Me too. So we have that in common. Cool, right? Should we keep fucking him or what?”. Any answer is fine who cares. The end, roll credits, yr welcome.
