Everyone get your scrunchies, chia pets, choker necklaces, and Tamagotchis out, because Dunkaroos — every ’90s kid’s favorite sugary snack — is back. The only thing that could be better than this news is if TRL also came back. Then we could all run home at 3:45, slam a bunch of Dunkaroos down our gullet, and watch music videos in ’90s bliss together.
Yep, General Mills-owned Dunkaroos are coming back in 2020.
The cookie treat went out of commission in the U.S. in 2012 after popping onto the scene in 1992. But ’90s kids have never been silent about our nostalgia, so General Mills is bringing it back:
🚨 Definitely coming back. Summer 2020. 🚨 pic.twitter.com/PcTswQ2TRy

According to a blog post by General Mills, you’ll be able to find the goodies as soon as this summer (we hope you have a good dentist!). They wrote, “The lunch table is the ultimate staple of ‘90s nostalgia – where meaningful friendships were made, snack allies were formed, and critical trades brought kids together over their taste buds.”
So what do they taste like? “Dunkaroos is making an epic comeback with the most requested and beloved Dunkaroos flavor, Vanilla Cookies and Vanilla Frosting with Rainbow Sprinkles,” they wrote. YES.

This monstrosity is something many of us are guilty of creating. Dunkaroos is doing God’s work.

Canadians—who always had Dunkaroos (yep, they were only ripped from American hands)—warned us that the formulation has changed, though. Say it ain’t so.
We’ve always still had them in Canada. They changed the cookies though so be prepared for disappointment.

There are some Debbie Downers out there (but…are they wrong?):
Ah yes. Dipping cookies in cake frosting. Delicious and nutritious.
This surely won’t help the over consumption of calories. Nope.
